5pm | 100 Mile Dinner and Concert

Presented by: CLD/MRC
Cocktails 5:00 p.m. Dinner 6:00 p.m.
Savour a culinary feast of fresh, locally sourced meats, dairy products, vegetables and fruit, all produced within a 100 mile radius of our venue. Between courses, our festival artists will delight with a showcase of popular classics

 

2pm | Fun on the Farm

Children and adults alike will enjoy an afternoon of songs and music about farms, animals and nature. “Stomp your feet, clap your hands”, to Sandra Boynton’s Barnyard Dance. Festival artists will perform Robert Schumann’s The Happy Farmer, Aaron Copland’s I Bought Me a Cat, Franz Schubert’s Die Forelle and other famous melodies.

 

7 pm | Opera Mania

Enjoy some of opera’s most recognizable and treasured arias, duets, trios and ensembles during an evening that will feature such famous works as Don Giovanni’s Madamina, the Pearl Fishers’ Duet, the Rigoletto Quartet, the Lucia Sextet and other memorable masterpieces.

 

2 pm | Classical Music Greatest Hits

Jean Desmarais performs classical standards on solo piano including, Für Elise, Rondo alla Turca, Meditation de Thaïs, Ave Maria, Ständchen, Chopin Nocturnes, Chopin Waltzes, Bach’s Prelude in C, Beethoven’s Sonate Pathétique, Debussy’s Clair de Lune and Brahms’ Lullaby.

performance has ended.

 

 

7 pm | Romance Under the Pines

Enjoy a summer’s evening of relaxing romantic music, highlighting both classical and contemporary pieces performed by festival singers and featuring pianist, Jean Desmarais. Sensual and summery, the
evening will include Look Down Fair Moon, En sourdine, O du mein holder Abendstern, Summertime and other famous masterpieces.

 

 

2 pm | Around the World in 80 Minutes

Presented by: Dr. Thomas O’Neill
Travel around the world in 80 minutes and experience songs and music from many countries. This challenge will include Ireland’s Danny Boy, Scandinavia’s Grieg and an Argentinian Tango. Our festival singers and pianist Jean Desmarais will provide an afternoon of inspiring musical variety.
